Nissan Micra Heater Fan Faults
Of course in this colder weather that we’re having we’re all using our fan heaters a lot more. Us auto electricians typically encounter faults with car heater fans during cold snaps – take Nissan Micras for example (or as previously mentioned, Rover fan heaters).
There’s a common fault on the bubble shaped Micra made between 1993 and 2002 (52 plate). You could find that the fan doesn’t work at all or loses power on the lower blower settings.
Often it’s a case that the heater resistor (pictured) needs replacing and it’s a straightforward DIY job. The part is behind the glove box, screwed to the heater body.
If you fancy fixing it yourself or know a man who can then you’ll need part number 27150-72B01 – you’ll often pick up handy on ebay.
