Nissan Micra Heater Fan Faults
Of course in this colder weather that we’re having we’re all using our fan heaters a lot more. Us auto electricians typically encounter faults with car heater fans during cold snaps - take Nissan Micras for example (or as previously mentioned, Rover fan heaters).
There’s a common fault on the bubble shaped Micra made between 1993 and 2002 (52 plate). You could find that the fan doesn’t work at all or loses power on the lower blower settings.
Often it’s a case that the heater resistor (pictured) needs replacing and it’s a straightforward DIY job. The part is behind the glove box, screwed to the heater body.
If you fancy fixing it yourself or know a man who can then you’ll need part number 27150-72B01 - you’ll often pick up handy on ebay.
Rover Heater Fan Faults
Do you drive a Rover car and are you encountering heater fan problems? You’re not alone as heater fan faults on Rovers are common. If you own one of these Rovers:
- Rover 200 (95-on new shape)
- Rover 400 (95-on new shape)
- Rover 25 / 45
Typically the fault lies with the heater fan resistor rather than the fan motor itself and it causes the fan to fail when selecting lower fan speeds. Of course we can replace the resistor for you - why not call us today and book your Rover in!
However, if you’re too far away from our Wirral garage, you could buy your own replacement part on ebay and find a local garage to replace it for you.
Site Update
Well, the site is getting on for a month old now and thanks to the Wirral website designers we are easily found in google and receiving visitors from web searchers. We’d be the first to admit that it’s not every day that everyone searches for an auto electrician - but when you do need someone like us to help you, we’d like to think that our easy to use site gives you the info you’re after.
So, what are people after? Our visitors are looking for things like:
- auto electrical services
- wiring problems fixed
- car key coding
- faulty alternator fixes
- installation of car CD players
The site is still new and is therefore being added to as we go along. So if you’re after something that isn’t mentioned (yet) then please do get in touch by calling us today.
This Site Goes Live
My first piece of news …this website for my auto electrics business has gone live!
I’ll probably get the website designers (also Wirral based) to tweak it here and there for me but it’ll be interesting to be one of the few auto electricians on the internet.
